Nubo Water Bottle Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know when it is time to change the filter?

Easy, every 2-3 months or after 300 fills.

How many times can I reuse the bottle?

Indefinitely, just keep it clean.

What is the shelf life of my unused filters?

At least 2 years when stored in a dry area.

Can I freeze the bottle?

NO. Water expands when frozen and may crack the bottle.

Is the Nubo bottle and filter recyclable?

Yes, of course.

Is the Nubo bottle made out of safe plastic?

Yes, BPA Free Titan Plastic, one of the safest of all plastics.

Where is the Nubo reusable water bottle made?

All Nubo filters are 100% USA made. Our Legacy bottle is made from quality materials from Kansas, California, Illinois, Texas and Florida. Our Tritan cylinder for our Gen II bottle is made in our Asian plant.

How does the water from the Nubo bottle compare to store bought water, and especially my water from an exotic Pacific Island?

First of all, Nubo is fresh, not weeks, months, or up to 2 years old and sitting on a store shelf. Second, Nubo is safer and the water taste is excellent. Third, many store bought single use water is merely filtered tap water. And fourth, the cost of using Nubo is about 15 cents a gallon vs over $10.00 per gallon for the expensive “tropical island” water products.

Is NUBO bottle approved by the FDA?

The FDA does not approve water bottles. However, unlike foreign-made bottles, all of Nubo materials are FDA compliant for safety.

Can I wash the bottle in a dishwasher?

Yes, the bottle and caps (not the filters) can be washed safely on the top rack of a dishwasher.

Can the bottle be exposed to heat and sunlight for long periods of time?

Yes, unlike single use bottles, Nubo is unaffected by sunlight, heat, cold, and will not leach out dangerous chemicals into your drinking water.

Can I use the bottle to filter lake or river water?

No, Nubo is a very effective in-home water system.
